Lauren's Inspiration Challenge

Seems like I'm "finally" getting back into the swing of these weekly challenges! It's nice to be spending time in my stamp room.....I have it all cleaned up so that inspires me to create even more! It's taken me a long time to get to this point, but it has definitely been worth the effort and time. This week was Lauren's Ispiration Challenge and I actually found this color combo quite different than anything I would normally put together. The colors I used were PTI's Rasberry Fizz, Ocean Tides, Ripe Avacado, and SU's So Safron. I've been wanting to use my new PTI set, Damask Designs, for a long time now. I think it made a nice elegant looking card!
Yesterday Ava and I hung out for a while in the stamp room, she was painting and playing with play-doh and I got to work on a scrapbook page from one of Ethan's books. It's so nice to get back into my scrapbooking. It may take me my whole life to catch up and complete all of the pictures that I want to scrapbook about, but it will definitely be worth it. I really enjoy it and I love to look back at all of the pictures and stories that go with them. It feels like I get to relive the little moments in our lives for a little while just by creating a page.
Today we are going to try and work on getting part of "Ethan's" room put together and ready for his new little brother. Ava got her new furniture this week, so a lot of stuff got thrown into Ethan's room so we could clear out Ava's. I can't take down Ethan's name or personal things yet, but getting the baby bed set up will be a big accomplishment for this weekend. I just wish Ethan was going to be here to meet his new baby brother. He was so determined it was a boy and was so excited that we were going to have a baby. I'm slowly but surely getting ready for our new bundle of joy. In fact I was so excited that I found a little cowboy outfit for him the other day, something that Ethan would have definitely picked out. It even has matching soft cowboy boots and a hat...oh he is going to look so cute!
Hope all of you have a great weekend. Be sure to stop by the other gals to see all of there creations. Here is a peak of what everyone created!

Oh Alicia this is beautiful and elegant. I love how you used a double row of border punch then topped it off with real lace, too. The colors worked well for the inspiration! Great to have you stamping - glad you're getting a chance to do something you love. I also love the pic of Ava with her kitty and love that you found a cowboy outfit for the new little one! :-) Hugs to you.

Alicia! I'm speechless...seriously. Your card IS elegant - just STUNNING! The double bow tied down with a cute button is so pretty and I love that you kept the damask stamp to the double row in the background. The lace borders you added are the perfect complement!

I know it must be hard getting Ethan's room ready for his baby brother, but hopefully you'll find a way to incorportate Ethan's belongings into your new little guy's life and he will love them just as much as Ethan. I'm sure whatever you decide will work out just right for all of you. In your time...

Can't wait to see the first picture of your sweet little guy with his cowboy outfit! I'm sure it's completely adorable! Hugs to you and Ava :)

Your card is so pretty. I love the punched border, and the lace accent.

It must be really hard to get Ethan's room ready for someone else, but I know you and your family will make it work. I am glad you were able to find a cute cowboy outfit for your new addition. I am sure Ethan is smiling down on you knowing you were thinking of him when you bought it.

Alicia, your card is so gorgeous! Love the layered ribbon...yummy!!

You are so remarkable. I can't even imagine how difficult it must be for you not having Ethan in your life. I'm sure Ethan already knows his little baby brother and is sending his love to you with him. You are in my thoughts and prayers every day.

Emelia's Frozen Party

Emelia's 4th birthday was all about Frozen like every other little girl turning 4!  She just loves to sing and dance to all the songs.  Here is her invitation.  She loved it!
A friend of mine showed me how to make cookies with royal icing. I love this new hobby abc I've been getting better at my detail work. Like I needed another hobby, but what the heck!  The kids love to help make the cookies too!

Emelia Rose is 2!

My how time flies! Our darling little Emelia Rose is 2 already. Where has the time gone?  She is solo sweet and funny and did I mention adorable too! Her signature pigtails just add to her cute little personality.

One of my favorite things she does now is every night at bedtime I put her in her bed and she says in her sweet little voice,"Sweep in my window!" She loves for us to lay in her window seat while she is getting to sleep! Now if we could only get her to stay asleep in her bed all night!

These are her two year highlights!

Favorite foods: only have found a couple she doesn't like, cantelope and chicken. Otherwise she eats everything on her plate and yours too!

Loves to carry around a purse

Wears her pigtails with her bows!

Loves to do things "myself!"

Still likes to have a bottle at night night time.

Gives the best hugs and kisses!

Loves her little kitten Dakota and carries her around all of the time! She likes to smoosh her in the back of her trike!

Prayer Request

As some of you know that follow my blog our son, Ethan, has cancer and he relapsed last August. I am saddened to say that Ethan's cancer has progressed and we did not receive a very good report from his Doctor. He is still feeling great and you can't see any signs of this physically, but we don't know what the future holds. So I will be taking a "break" from my stamping blog. I'm sure all of you understand that I'm needed elsewhere right now! Thanks to all of you that check in and for all your kind words. This will definitely be the hardest thing I've ever had to go through in my life. So go hug your kiddos and live each day to the fullest! Please keep my Ethan and our family in your prayers! GOD BLESS!
