Stamp Camp Sneak Peak!

Here is one of my creations for stamp camp coming up this Saturday. I have them all designed, the paper and ribbon is here ready to cut, so I think we are set. It should be a good time. I'm really excited about using my pazzles to cut out some snowflakes......I'll share that card too. I actually have about 15 minutes this morning before I need to leave and relieve my husband at school. Ethan wanted him to come today for a little while, so Ava and I are at home. That is a rare occurence. She is playing with baby dolls and getting into all of my cards! She's coming with me to school today because after school the kids are heading to town with me to get flu shots! We'll see how that goes.

This card uses SU's stamp set "Pocket Sillouettes". The colors are ripe avacado and kraft from PTI. The ribbon is ripe avacado from PTI too. I used basic black from SU and embossed the kraft. Very simple card and I think this could be used for both a man or a woman.

This is a card using my new set from PTI called Snowfall. I love this set. I'm sure I'll be making more Christmas cards with this. The sentiment is from PTI's new set Silent Night. I used my Pazzles to cut out the snowflake. I used PTI's pure poppy for the ink and snowflake. One of the nice things about the Pazzles is that you can change your images and increase and decrease the size with very little work. I used a punch from Martha Stewart for the inside snowflake and added a little rhinestone for some bling. The outer edges of the snowflake were sprinkled with dazzling diamonds to give it some sparkle. It's a very pretty card in person....the picture doesn't really do it justice.

Hope you enjoy my new creations. I better get heading to school. Ethan just loves going. I don't know how much he is learning, but he has fun interacting with the other kids. Have a great Tuesday! Thanks for stopping by!

Lauren's "My Time" Sketch

It's time for Lauren's Saturday sketch......here's my Mom's card! She didn't leave me with a list of stamps.....I like the card though. I guess I looked at hers and had the same color combo in my head. I finally got out my new Papertrey Quilter's Block set and inked them up. I kind of struggled with this sketch. Thanks for stopping by to take a look.....if you didn't stop by yesterday you'll have to take a look at my new baby card. I am just loving this personalized onsie!

Stop by the other gals sites too!

Baby's First Halloween!

Here are my kiddos yesterday. I wanted to get a picture of them by all the leaves, but they were too wound up. I ended up with some fun pictures to share. I thought it was too sweet that they were holding hands. We went for a walk and Ethan rode his bike. It got rather chilly so after several trips back home we finally made our walk to the winery. That is our usual route. I think it is so funny when the kids ask if they can take a walk to the winery.
--------------------------------------------------------
Today is a kind of rainy dreary day. We've made some cards for Ethan and Ava's friends. Ethan got bored doing that so he didn't quite get all of his made. Ava did so good. I gave them halloween paper from a package I got it at the Target $1 Spot. It's almost lunch time now......the days go by so quickly. Hopefully it will stop raining soon so we can go outside for a while.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I saw this card this morning on Lily Bean's Paperie and
just loved it, so I had to try one out. I had to combine a lot of sets to make this happen, but I love how it turned out. The idea of the onsie came from the site above, but I did my own layout. I couldn't find the sentiment I wanted, so I went to work on my computer. I made up an entire sheet in Word that says Baby's First. Now I can change it up and do these for all the holidays. The bat for my background paper is from Pink Cat Studio. The kitty cat from the Limiteless Limbs set from Pink Cat Studio too. The baby onsie came from PTI set, Bitty Baby Blessings. I mixed the cardstock too.....kraft is from PTI and the polka dot paper is from SU and the black and pumpkin pie is from SU too. I can't wait to make a little Christmas and Easter onsie card too!!!
I'll be back in the morning with Lauren's Saturday Sketch. So come back and take a look.

MFT Challenge Card and......my cute little Ava Girl!

I saw on Jen del Muro's site about an MFT challenge.....so I thought I would play along. It's on the 20th of every month and the colors to use were pink/black/white. I love this color combo and I really like this set, Punny Farm. It's such a great set! I used SU's pink pirouette and basic black. The paisley patterned paper is adorable, but I have lost where I got this from. I used my cuttlebug with the paisley embossing folder to add a little touch at the bottom and of course I used ribbon. The pink satin is from PTI and the black gingham is from SU.

My cute little girl Ava! We just love this girl to pieces and on top of our son having a rough past year and a half with his battle of cancer, it has really effected our little girl too. It's so sad that when she sees her Grandmas that it takes her a little while to warm up now because she thinks that she is going to be left behind. She latches on to me like I am going to leave her forever. She does warm up though after a while and is fine....it's just getting her to that point. It's amazing how cancer effects everyone in the family, not just the patient.
Here is Ava strutting her stuff last night while we were having "movie night". We had popcorn and watched Shreck The Third. It was a lot of fun and the kids had a really good time!
Ethan is doing wonderful so we are so thankful for that. He is almost 4 weeks out of his first MIBG treatment. The scans are getting closer so the "worry days" are almost here. Right now the days are good because we are just having a good ol' time.
Thanks for checking in....I'll hopefully be back tomorrow to share a scrapbooking page with you.

Saturday Sketch......and my Kiddos!

It's Saturday! It's been an enjoyable morning already. I just spent the last 45 minutes snuggling with my Ethan watching cartoons on the couch. He loves to do that of a morning, Chicky does too, but she's still sleeping! Can you believe that one of my kids is actually sleeping in?? That is a rarity around here!

We had a "first" this week. Ethan started preschool! Oh my gosh was he excited. He said the night before that he had one more night of sleep, then get up, brush his teeth, get dressed, eat breakfast and it would be time to go to school, Right Mommy! That is exactly what he did....he didn't even give me a hug or kiss as he ran by me at 6:30 to go brush his teeth....oh he was too funny. He had the best day and he felt like such a big kid!!! I'm so proud of him and couldn't be happier for him. We'll be taking him just a couple days a week. I want him to experience it, but don't want to miss out on quality time with him at home either! Here's a picture of Ethan on his first day playing on the new tire swing!!!

Ava girl is a HUGE ice cream fan and I have a really funny picture of her to share too! I can't wait to scrapbook this!!! I have to share something funny about what she says. She gets on a kick of saying things and one of the things lately that she says is "Sometimes me do and sometimes me don't" Isn't that funny!

Now for my card sketches. My Mom played too....so you get 2 cards to take a peek at! I used the witch from Lizzie Anne Designs. Ava is going to be a witch and I thought this would be perfect. The paper is from Target at the dollar spot. It's really cute and I had some extra so Ethan could cut out spiders and pumpkins while I worked on my card. The ribbon I used was just from my "stash".....it matched perfectly though. All my cardstock is from SU, Green Galore and Orchid Opulence.

My Mom used a set from SU, called Loads of Love. The paper is kraft from PTI, More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive from SU! This set is so versatile. Hope you enjoy our creations! I have several new cards and a scrapbook page to share so hopefully I'll get some time to do that this weekend! Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Let it Snow!!!

No, I'm not ready for snow, but it did really feel like winter after making my project for the Papertrey Ink Guest Star Stamper Contest. I really like how it all came together. My Mom helped me out a bit on the sewing part......I can sew, but with 2 kids, a very tiny stamp room.....it's just easier this way, plus she is a lot quicker! This project is very quick and easy to make. The pillow cover was inspired by a Woman's Day magazine called "Best Ideas for Christmas" It is full of ideas and the one that I really liked were the pillow covers. I thought these would be perfect in my living room.

I used PTI's set, Snowflake Seranade, for all of my creations. The pillow is just made out of muslin and are two square panels sewed with a 1/4" seam along the edges and has ribbon attached to the corners to tie to the pillow......super easy and quick! The picture frame is actually a great bargain that I got last year at Hobby Lobby after Christmas. They are just kraft colored and were regulary $4.99 each. I picked each one up for around $1.00.....I took all they had :-) The little goody bag is made out of muslin too.....my idea was for cookies or another treat, but this would make a perfect wine bottle bag! Hope you enjoy my creations.......I sure had fun making them!

My card......how much simpler can this be to make. I love it though!! The rhinestones add some bling too. This took less than a couple minutes to make!

This little goody bag is probably the perfect little gift, especially for school teachers or just something to have on hand in case you need a quick gift on the go! I really like the idea of having them to cover up a bottle of wine too. It helps that I live less than a half mile from a winery!!!

My picture frame has my favorite picture of the year........our Christmas photo of my kids riding our little burrow! I just love this picture.....I'm going to have it framed everywhere! I took some really neat pictures of the kids this weekend too, check out my new title bar.....I think this is my new favorite photo of the year! They were having a ball walking/dancing around the winery on Saturday. What a perfect day!

A HUGE thank you to Lauren Meader too! Check out her latest blog entry.......see those fabulous cards. Well, these will be in a collection of cards to be auctioned off at my son's benefit in November in the silent auction. They are pretty online, but are georgeous in person! THANK YOU!!!

Saturday Sketch and Lauren's Exciting News

So....it's Saturday and MacKenzie Bruckler filled in with a sketch for Lauren Meader today. Lauren has some HUGE news to share about a new line of templates that she is creating for Papertrey Ink. Lauren is so very talented and has just launched a new adventure in her "creative" career!

I decided that I would try out MacKenzie's sketch with one of my new stamp sets from SU called Season of Friendship. I really like this set and the saying that comes with it is just so perfect in many ways. I love fall so I did another fall card. The weather this fall has been just perfect. The kids love it, the horses love it and I love it! I wish it stayed lighter longer so we could enjoy it even more! I used a ton of fall color for this card, Really Rust, Old Olive, More Mustard, and Only Orange. I topped it off with some Chocolate Chip Grossgrain Ribbon. Everything I used was from SU except for the patterned paper and that is "Mellow" by Basic Grey. I only have one sheet left so I hope to be able to find more! I did get to try out one of my new birthday gifts....the long rectangle nestabilities.....love it!!!

On the home front, the kids are good. We have really been enjoying our "home" time. Yesterday my Mom and I canned tomatoes.....so how does that fit in with the kids, well, Ava played in the sink most of the morning just washing and washing stuff. Ethan wanted to help out Mamma and Grandma, so he got to work mashing up the tomatoes with a knife, until that got too boring and then he started to use cookie cutters. Good think my Mom did a good stir in the pot, one bat cutter got loose!!!

Ethan continues to be healthy and full of energy. I just treasure each day, not knowing what the next might bring. We took the kids up for the hometown parade last night. What a site!!! Both kids got to ride on "Ranger, Eyeore, Little Ass, Donkey".....our minature burrow with many names! They had a very good time and everyone thought they were so adorable. They did look pretty darn cute, but I might be a little biased!!!

Thanks for stopping by. I thought I might go back to sleep yet this morning, but it looks like it is about time for the kiddos to get up here in an hour so I might try and sneak in some more "stamp" time before it's time to go riding. We're planning a fun morning of horse back riding and then time to make apple butter in the afternoon! Have a great weekend!

FINALLY.....Lauren's Saturday (Tuesday) Sketch!

I finally gave in and I'm at my Mom's house loading up my cards. Our laptop is still with the Geek Squad.....doesn't look good. They did save all of my files, but the computer itself is still under a diagnostic test and the guy said that they usually don't take this long to complete. Sooo.....when it rains it pours, but at least a computer can be replaced!

Today we made a trip to STL for a checkup on our son. They ask how he is doing as he is running around the Doctors office and we can't contain him long enough to even get a listen to his heart.....I think he is doing fine! It's just amazing at how much energy he has. Ava came along today too. That was interesting as well. We ate at the Olive Garden or as Ethan calls it, The Pasta Place, and then we made a pitstop at Target to get Ethan some cowboy lights. They both had to go potty of course as we walked into the store and then we were back looking at toys and Ava said she had to go potty again, well we just kind of blew her off because she does this all of the time. Then she said, Mommy, I got to go potty....and right there in the store she peed all over her pants, undies, shoes, socks, shopping cart and the floor. I tried my best to wipe it up with a clorox wipe and then headed to the car with her to get some dry clothes. UGH....I did stop by the customer service desk to tell them there was a spill in the baby doll isle! That was the least I could do!

The Cowboy card is my take on Lauren's "Saturday" sketch and the purple card is my Mom's. We both had them finished, but ....you know, the computer thing! Lauren inspired me with the cowboy from her card she made for my son. Isn't that cowboy cute. He is from Pink Cat Studio. "Cowboy Billy" My Mom used "Pocket Silhouettes" from SU. Hope you enjoy the cards.

These are a couple picture of Ethan. He is feeding his horse Sonador, isn't that sweet. The other is from across the road by the pumpkin patch. Ethan is really into getting his picture taken lately, but our little Chicky isn't!

Thanks for stopping by.....hopefully we'll be up and running with a computer by the end of the week!

Lauren's Saturday (Sunday) Sketch .....Almost

I'm a little frustrated.....our computer is not working. Just ask my DSH why!!! I can't seem to get this loaner to load any pictures so guess my blogging days will have to wait until our computer is up and running again. I'm just praying that our hard drive is okay. I do backup our pictures and leave them on discs at my Mom's, so I'm not too terribly worried that I lost any of my digital shots, but we went through this last year and oh what a pain.....not something I really have time to deal with right now. Hopefully my DSW will get it fixed soon....he's going to call a couple of people tomorrow.

Wish I could share my card with you.....but I guess that will have to wait!

The kiddos are down for a nap and it's just a real lazy Sunday afternoon. I went shopping this morning for some clothes for my daughter.....I think she is finally set for fall/winter. My birthday is tomorrow.....I'll be 32!! My birthdays or any celebration just aren't the same since my son is sick. Hopefully one day soon we'll be able to appreciate the fun family get togethers and get togethers with friends.

Hope to be back soon with some pictures......thanks for stopping by!

A Baby Shower!

We are having a baby shower for my friend coming up in October.
Here are the invitations. She is having a little boy. I used Beate's Sketch again. This was the first "baby" set that I bought from Stampin' Up! before I had our son Ethan. I still love this set. It is retired and is called Baby Firsts. The babies in it are just so adorable. The paper is a retired line as well from SU. I thought, I have this paper, I might as well use it!

I colored the baby with my SU markers and the face I used one of my "3" copic markers. I'm off to go play with my kiddos today and get a few things picked up around the house. Sounds like a nice relaxing day to me!

While Dav'es away......I go to Hobby Lobby!

Dave and the oldest two went to the cold Homecoming football game.  So Em and I decided to eat supper with my parents and make a trip to Hob...
