It's the Weekend!

It's Saturday and time for Lauren's Saturday Sketch! We've had a crazy week here at our house. I usually work on Mondays and Tuesdays, but I didn't have anyone to watch my kiddos on Monday, Tuesday Ethan was in the hospital all day, Wednesday we were home and just played catch up on everything, and then I decided to work Thursday and Friday! So, needless to say we are a little tired around here this morning. We all slept in, we didn't go to bed very early either, but it still felt good to sleep in!

My Mom played along this week and actually created the card for this weeks sketch. I asked Lauren about trying out scrapbooking with her sketches, so that is what I did. Here are 2 Valentine day ideas with Lauren's sketch. It's so easy to take a card sketch and use it for a scrapbook page. Ava was so funny last night when I was making this. She was sitting right next to me of course and she got all upset when she found out that I had "broke her". I used my nestabilities on her picture and she thought I broke her, it was really funny. Mom's card uses SU's stamp set, So Many Scallops and I didn't end up stamping at all. I printed my title from Word and added a little glitter. I made my own background paper with the small heart punch from PTI. I added glitter to my hearts for some bling!

Hope all of you are getting a good start to your weekend. We don't have much planned. Hopefully we'll be home all of this weekend and next week, that would be so nice for a change. We did finally find out a schedule for Ethan's upcoming scans, so that is nice to have "somewhat" of a plan. The kids are doing great. They even went upstairs by themselves last night for a half hour and played with a puzzle and they didn't come down screaming or crying at us....now that is amazing.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check out the other gal's cards too.

Hi Alicia,

These are both beautiful, give your Mom some Kudo's from me!! Her papers go so well together and love that Martha Stewart Punch as well.

Your Scrapbook page is lovely to and so creative with the sketch. It works very well!!

I hope you can get caught back up before back to work on Monday!!!

Loved the Story about Ava and her Broken picture so cute, and I am sure that half an hour with no screaming or noise was simply wonderful!!!

Keep up the lovely work, and I always enjoy your moms cards when you put them on here too!!!

Happy Saturday!

Heather

Hey girl,
So funny that you did a scrapbook page with the sketch - I was thinking of starting to do that too! It's the only way I think I'll ever get any pages done these days. Beautiful job :-)

Hugs to Ethan

Awesome creations! It's funny that you turned the sketch into a scrap page because I have been thinking of doing that for awhile, just haven't had the time. Both came out great!
