JUGS Challenge #13

Well, it is the day after Christmas, and my little girl and I actually slept in! It's almost 9:00 here in West Central Illinois and we've been snoozing for almost 12 hours! I guess we needed to catch up on some sleep. We did have a nice Christmas. It was very hard, but Ava girl had a good time.
We didn't want to skip this week since a lot of people have time off and time to play along. This week Dana is hosting a template challenge sponsored by Kalleigh Ratzlaff Be sure to go to the JUGS blog to read all the details. You get a discount on an order just for playing and a chance to win! Her templates are great so besure to check them out. I chose to make something out of the candy dispeser. Isn't this cute! My little girl just loves hershey kisses so I knew who and what kind of candy I wanted to use. She barely let me take a picture of my creation, she wanted it right away. I covered it with paper from Paper Studio bought at Hobby Lobby. The stamped image is from PTI's 2009 Tag Collection and a little punched out holly from Martha Stewarts punch. Then I added a little glitter for some bling!
The box is pretty tiny so smaller candy like m&ms would probably work better, but if you knew how many hershey kisses we go through you would understand!

Here's another view of the box. It was very easy to assemble and is pretty sturdy. I printed the template first on white cardstock and then on the scrapbook paper This would make cute little teacher gifts or you could dress them up for favors at a shower or wedding!

Be sure to go check out the other gals for all their creations! I'm on a mission to figure out why my blog won't let me copy/paste, but until then, head over to JUGS and show us your creations and be entered for a chance to win.

Oh girl! I HATE when my blog acts up like that! It was going crazy last night when I was trying to schedule my post...I almost had to retype the entire thing! UGH.

I LOVE your project! Oh and THANK YOU for the wonderful (and what you would think is obvious) idea to print the template both on the cs and the patterned paper! I was struggling trying to score my patterned paper just right for another project last night, and I think you just gave me the tip I need! LOL

That ribbon and the patterned paper are the perfect complement to your colorful Hershey Kisses! How cute that Ava could hardly wait for you to photograph your project before wanting it all to herself ♥

I WILL be coming for a visit one day...and expecting a trip to my favorite store, the Hobby Lobby!! I'll leave plenty of room in my car for my goodies :O)

Sooooo glad to hear you got so much sleep last night! That's rare for you, huh? Hope you all are doing okay. Please know that lots of your friends are thinking of Ethan also and praying for you and your family. I'm sure he's looking down on you with all the pride he can hold in his big heart ♥

Merry Christmas, my friend.

Oh Alicia this is fantastic! I LOVE this little dispenser and you have dressed it up SO cute. I love your bow - it's amazing and the holly punch is the perfect compliment - super super cute and I can only imagine why Ava was so anxious to get her hands on this sweet treat box. Hope your holiday was good. I'm taking a much needed break with family time which is great. HUGS to you.

Such a fun candy dispenser. Love that fabulous ribbon and the fun circular peace and joy!!

While Dav'es away......I go to Hobby Lobby!

Dave and the oldest two went to the cold Homecoming football game.  So Em and I decided to eat supper with my parents and make a trip to Hob...
