Just Us Girls #58 - Sketch Challenge

First I have to start off by sharing my kiddos from Halloween! If this doesn't make you smile then you should probably go back to bed :-) I got a costume magazine in the mail and saw this donkey costume from Shrek and just had to have it. I have titled this picture
"My Princess and Little Ass"! Ethan would have loved this costume for sure!
Now on to "business". Pam has a wonderful sketch for you today for JUGS sketch challenge. I got to play with a new toy of mine. It's a pinwheel maker. I bought it this week when I took my Grandma, Aunt, and my Mom to a quilting store in Hannibal, MO. I'm sure I could have figured out how to make them by hand, but this little plastic gadget sure was easy to use. They came in all sizes, but I got the smallest one with the intentions of using it for this card. I really like how it turned out and now I can make fabric flowers too!

This card is for my sister-in-law's birthday which is this coming Wednesday. I used some SU patterned paper that I had and the twine is from PTI. Here is my Ava girl in her new leopard print turtleneck and sweater. She loves it so she didn't mind posing for me before we headed off to Hannibal to shop. I'm "finally" back to working just 2 days so this week was so much less stressful for me and I got a lot done around the house. It is Saturday and I'm not going to spend all day doing laundry for once! I got Ava Girl's room cleaned and we organized all of her toys yesterday. She had fun helping because she found all sorts of stuff that she didn't know she had! I think she might be a tad bit like me because she has TONS of those silly bands and she keeps them in her vanity drawer in her room and every night when she takes them off she puts them back in order and knows exactly which ones she has and where they go! Here's a picture of her drawer, not sure why blogger flipped the picture, but you get the idea!I wanted to share this picture that Ava colored too. She loves to color and spends a good majority of her days coloring, but she has started something new lately. Can you see the grid of blue that is drawn all over the horse? She takes her pictures now and draws a grid and then colors the spaces a different color. I think it is kinda neat and I don't have any idea where she learned how to do this.

That's it from me on this Saturday morn! It's hopefully going to be a pretty laid back weekend. I need to get groceries from town today, but other than that there isn't too much on the agenda. Most of the day I'll be chasing Kale around as he has discovered how to walk and we are gearing up for his birthday next weekend too! Hope all of you have a great weekend!

Hi Alicia
WOW this is super cute - the sketch is Andrea's not mine but your gingham flower is quite adorable. However I just LOVE the photos of your kids - at first glance I thought Kale was EEyore then I read that it's donkey from shrek - I laughed out loud about the title of the picture - good think I wasn't eating or drinking. Also - check your profile - somehow your page and your comments now come in as being from **** instead of Alicia?!? Great work with JUGs and thanks for sharing the kids photos.

Ava's coloring is amazing - I love how she did the multi colors - I think you have a future artiste on your hands.

Alicia...I'm not sure where to start :) I love Kale's smile...his Halloween costume is absolutely adorable and it certainly doesn't hurt how cute he is without the costume! I love the picture of Ava modeling her outfit...watch out...your going to have to lock the doors soon!

Of course I love your card too...but really love hearing about your beautiful family.

Love Ava's organization too...isn't it funny how our children pick up different habits from us or our parents?!

Have a great Sunday!

ADorable! Both your kids and your card...and your great sense of humor with the donkey costume! :) Give Ava a high five for her creativity! The apple does not fall far from her mama's creative tree!

Ok, you must have the cutest kids around! They are just so adorable, and I smiled so I didn't have to go to bed (darn, I was tired, too!) Love the little princess and little ass! LOL!!!

And your card is fab too! Love the flower! I was wondering what you used to make it! I have the dp also and love it! Great job with the sketch!

While Dav'es away......I go to Hobby Lobby!

Dave and the oldest two went to the cold Homecoming football game.  So Em and I decided to eat supper with my parents and make a trip to Hob...
