Today's JUGS challenge is a technique and Pam has chosen a "Wild Wild West" theme in memory of my son, Ethan. We lost our Ethan to neuroblastoma cancer last June and today we are hosting a blood drive in his memory from 10 to 4 at the Red Cross in Quincy, IL and then next weekend, August 20th and 21st, we are hosting Ethan's Rodeo. The proceeds from the rodeo will be going to neuroblastoma research. We are very excited to do this in Ethan's memory. If you have been wondering why I've been away for so long, I've been quite busy behind the scenes gearing up for the big event. I know many of you don't live near us, but if you would like to donate to the event you can "donate a ticket" on the website.
Theresa Momber (from Gina K) is our special guest designer http://craftingtheweb.blogspot.com/ She will also be donating one of her stamp sets called "Out West" to one lucky winner. (Thanks to Theresa for her generosity.) Here's a link to the set Out West.
Here are some other links to digi stamps from Pink Cat Studio that were originally released in memory of Ethan to raise money for Make-A-Wish.

I decided to use my new canvas that I purchased from Archivers last weekend and make a piece for my living room. I LOVE how it turned out. I used the Out West Set for the cowboy hat, several embellishments from Jolee's Boutique, and then I stamped the penants from Stampin' Up's set, Party This Way. The letters were just printed from my computer and punched out with a circle punch. Hope you enjoy all of the creations the JUGS team has for you. Have a great weekend! Here is Kale at 8 months (although he turned 9 months old yesterday)
Here is my Ava Girl just after her 4th Birthday!

What a GREAT great scrapbook page you created Alicia. I cannot believe it's been more than a year since you lost sweet little Ethan. I'm sure it was the hardest year of your life in many ways. You are channeling your energy into such positive things - blessings to you. I love the photos you always share - and the one of Ethan is just beyond precious. Thanks for carving out a little time to design for JUGS this week. I truly appreciate your efforts for that. GOOD LUCK with the blood drive and the rodeo!
Alicia,
You've been on my mind. Your children are so beautiful. I think of Ethan often and how he must be smiling down us all so excited about the rodeo. The blood drive and rodeo are an amazing way to remember Ethan and help other children from suffering from neuroblastoma. Many hugs and prayers being sent your way.
Alicia, what a beautiful scrapbook page! It is such a wonderful thing you are doing in Ethan's memory. Good luck with the rodeo and blood drive!
BEAUTIFUL Canvas page! I LOVE what you did!! What a wonderful event the rodeo is, good luck with that!
Alicia, I read and followed your story about Ethan...it really touch my heart in so many ways!!! The bood drive and the rodeo are a fabulous idea to remember Ethan and support this cancer treatment!!! I know it's gonna be a huge success and Ethan would be so proud of you all!!!
Your scrap-page turned out fabulous...I love everything about it!!! Hugs ~S~
Wow...you are an amazingly strong woman to have had to go through everything that you did with your beautiful little boy....
Your family is in my thoughts and prayers....
God Bless...
This is such a beautiful canvas you've created of your three children Alicia. I can't even imagine what you've gone through... What a wonderful way to honor Ethan's memory by having the blood drive and rodeo to raise money for others suffering from neuroblastoma. (The signifigant other of one of the girls I work with was diagnosed with this type of cancer last November and he is currently in remission).
I hope the blood drive and rodeo are both successful!!!
Kale and Ava are GORGEOUS!!!
Alicia your layout is absolutely stunning! I still remember when I first found your blog and read about brave, sweet Ethan :) I can't imagine a better way to honor such an amazing soul (especially since he LOVED being a cowboy :)) and help others who are affected by neuroblastoma. Best of luck with the blood drive and wishing you every possible success with the rodeo! Thanks for making such a wonderful, inspiring project!
This is so wonderful! What a great canvas layout of your sweet babies!!! The cool pennants and the bling swirls are a great compliment to your gorgeous black and white photos. Love and light to you, girl!
Your babies - Your strength - YOUR TALENT!!!! Are ALL so inspirational! What a tremendous way to celebrate your sweet, sweet, adored and celebrated boy. You are BEAUTIFUL! Your kids, RADIATE happiness... Many, many blessings and thought of love to YOU all! I'm THRILLED by the JUGS theme from a paper crafting stand point, but the real inspiration - is YOU! Thank you for sharing yourself!
What a lovely collage of your adorable children! And what a fun and charitable event you are organizing! I wish I could be there, but purchased a couple of "donated" tickets to the event. Good luck with it and have fun!
I absolutely love this canvas, the colours are perfect, but it's the photos that steal the show!! What a wonderful event to organise and and a great way to honour your son.
