JUGS Color Challenge #12

Be sure to check out the other JUGS creations: Kristin, Dana, Lisa, Maria, Mona, Tracey, Pam

It's time again for another JUGS Challenge. This week's challege was a little tough I thought. We used colors that I wouldn't typically put together, but I really like the color combo now that I used it. It's always good to try something new every once in a while. We had company all day yesterday and I had been so busy earlier in the week working on a Christmas present for my husband that I literally through this card together in a few minutes before we had to leave last night. I really don't enjoy making cards under pressure, but sometimes I think I work better when I have a deadline. The colors I used were all from PTI, Rasberry Fizz, Pure Poppy, Kraft, and New Leaf. Now I need to concentrate and work on my Christmas cards. My goal is to mail them Monday so we'll see if that happens! Here's a little update on the home front too. Above is Kale at 1 month. I sat him next to this moose and am hoping to continue to take his picture by this so you can see how big he is getting. I jumped on the scale the other day with him and he is almost 12 lbs....isn't that amazing! He is really a very good baby and only fusses when he has wet/dirty pants or wants to eat. He eats a LOT and lets you know is he is hungry!!!
Monday we went to the mall so we could visit with Santa. Ava girl was so cute. She wasn't scared at all. She decided about a week ago that she wanted a baby doll bed from Santa and she knows exactly what she wants. She proceeded to tell him the shape, what size, and color that she wanted her bed to be. Too bad Santa has been done with Ava for several weeks now. So I spent a good portion of this week trying to find her a bed online that would get here in time. I think I accomplished that, but I had to explain to her that Santa might not get us exactly the bed that she wanted. Here's a picture of Ava and Kale with Santa. I probably won't make it back here before Christmas so here's wishing all of you a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Ava Girl!

Ava girl had a wonderful birthday party and is having fun playing with all her new gifts this week. Tomorrow is her actual birthday so I made her a card today carrying on with the ice cream theme. I'm sure she'll love it. She really likes getting homemade cards!

Here are a few pictures from her big day. We had her party at a family "camp" and it worked out well.....none of the mess at our house! (I'm still unpacking stuff though!) She loves to play with her friend Andrea. She is the daughter of one of my best friends from high school and we are still best friends! It's neat watching them play together. Ava's cake turned out very cute too. My sister-in-law made it for her and she loved it. I got the idea for the rice crispy treat ice cream cones from Nichole Heady's blog. She made such a neat treat with them that I had to save the idea. The kids loved these and kept coming back for more.
Ethan is doing very well. He went to school today and had a fun time. He is really into legos right now and plays with them all the time. We have to go to the hospital this week for scans. Please keep Ethan in your thoughts and prayers as these scans will tell us how we proceed next.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you enjoy some of my latest pictures. I have more of my kids, but just haven't taken the time to post them......one of these days!

My Ava is turning 3 and Fun Painting!

My baby, Ava girl, is turning 3 in a couple weeks. She is very excited! I haven't been doing hardly any stamping at all, but I can't forget about our little girl. I've actually had these in the works for quite a while, but then things came up and here it is just a little over a week before her party and I'm just now getting them finished! Oh well....it's the thought that counts right. I don't know if you remember my post from "It's in the Bag Challenge for PTI". Well, I made Ava a birthday bag with ice cream cones on it, so the invite goes with her birthday bag! Ava loves ice cream and would eat it everyday if I let her!

On Sunday, after we returned from a surprise visit to the ER on Saturday for a fever, Daddy and Ethan were hard at work out in the barn making Mommy a picture frame. I got home from picking up Ava from my Mom's house and Ethan was hiding his surprise from me, but then he wanted to come inside and get it painted, a dark blue! Here are some pics of Ethan having a good time painting my new picture frame. He is so proud of it!

Ethan is doing well. There is no change in anything and we are so thankful for that. He's had a cold and he got a fever on Sat night that ended us up in the ER, but luckily it was just viral so we didn't have to be admitted. He still has a lingering cough, but other than that he is doing great. We got to take him to see some bull riding on Friday and he was in his glory. They even let Ethan ride a bull after the show. It was very neat to see. Here is Ethan on the bull with Rob Smets, a 5 time world champion bull rider! Thanks once again for all the nice comments and cards that I have been receiving. It's so nice knowing there are people from all over the world praying for our Ethan.

While Dav'es away......I go to Hobby Lobby!

Dave and the oldest two went to the cold Homecoming football game.  So Em and I decided to eat supper with my parents and make a trip to Hob...
