FINALLY.....Lauren's Saturday (Tuesday) Sketch!

I finally gave in and I'm at my Mom's house loading up my cards. Our laptop is still with the Geek Squad.....doesn't look good. They did save all of my files, but the computer itself is still under a diagnostic test and the guy said that they usually don't take this long to complete. Sooo.....when it rains it pours, but at least a computer can be replaced!

Today we made a trip to STL for a checkup on our son. They ask how he is doing as he is running around the Doctors office and we can't contain him long enough to even get a listen to his heart.....I think he is doing fine! It's just amazing at how much energy he has. Ava came along today too. That was interesting as well. We ate at the Olive Garden or as Ethan calls it, The Pasta Place, and then we made a pitstop at Target to get Ethan some cowboy lights. They both had to go potty of course as we walked into the store and then we were back looking at toys and Ava said she had to go potty again, well we just kind of blew her off because she does this all of the time. Then she said, Mommy, I got to go potty....and right there in the store she peed all over her pants, undies, shoes, socks, shopping cart and the floor. I tried my best to wipe it up with a clorox wipe and then headed to the car with her to get some dry clothes. UGH....I did stop by the customer service desk to tell them there was a spill in the baby doll isle! That was the least I could do!

The Cowboy card is my take on Lauren's "Saturday" sketch and the purple card is my Mom's. We both had them finished, but ....you know, the computer thing! Lauren inspired me with the cowboy from her card she made for my son. Isn't that cowboy cute. He is from Pink Cat Studio. "Cowboy Billy" My Mom used "Pocket Silhouettes" from SU. Hope you enjoy the cards.

These are a couple picture of Ethan. He is feeding his horse Sonador, isn't that sweet. The other is from across the road by the pumpkin patch. Ethan is really into getting his picture taken lately, but our little Chicky isn't!

Thanks for stopping by.....hopefully we'll be up and running with a computer by the end of the week!

Lauren's Saturday (Sunday) Sketch .....Almost

I'm a little frustrated.....our computer is not working. Just ask my DSH why!!! I can't seem to get this loaner to load any pictures so guess my blogging days will have to wait until our computer is up and running again. I'm just praying that our hard drive is okay. I do backup our pictures and leave them on discs at my Mom's, so I'm not too terribly worried that I lost any of my digital shots, but we went through this last year and oh what a pain.....not something I really have time to deal with right now. Hopefully my DSW will get it fixed soon....he's going to call a couple of people tomorrow.

Wish I could share my card with you.....but I guess that will have to wait!

The kiddos are down for a nap and it's just a real lazy Sunday afternoon. I went shopping this morning for some clothes for my daughter.....I think she is finally set for fall/winter. My birthday is tomorrow.....I'll be 32!! My birthdays or any celebration just aren't the same since my son is sick. Hopefully one day soon we'll be able to appreciate the fun family get togethers and get togethers with friends.

Hope to be back soon with some pictures......thanks for stopping by!

A Baby Shower!

We are having a baby shower for my friend coming up in October.
Here are the invitations. She is having a little boy. I used Beate's Sketch again. This was the first "baby" set that I bought from Stampin' Up! before I had our son Ethan. I still love this set. It is retired and is called Baby Firsts. The babies in it are just so adorable. The paper is a retired line as well from SU. I thought, I have this paper, I might as well use it!

I colored the baby with my SU markers and the face I used one of my "3" copic markers. I'm off to go play with my kiddos today and get a few things picked up around the house. Sounds like a nice relaxing day to me!

BELIEVE......Our Journey Continues......

Finally I can share with you my Christmas cards for this year! I've been working on them for several weeks now, but just didn't get it the way I wanted it. I think I finally have it. I shared this photo of our kids a few weeks ago, isn't it darling. This minature burrow is actually ours....Ethan likes to refer to it as our "Little Ass"! No kidding....thanks to Daddy, our kiddos actually call it that. He is the most adorable little thing. His actual name is ranger and I wanted to get a picture that resembled Mary and Joseph on their "Journey" to Bethlehem, hence what the card says. I just love it, everything about it. I told the kids that the baby doll was supposed to be Baby Jesus and now, guess what they call this baby....you've got, Baby Jesus. Ethan actually took the baby to Philadelphia because Ava said he could take it, isn't that sweet. We hid it away in the suit case after a couple of days though so we wouldn't have to throw the baby away.

Just thought I would share my creation tonight. I have some baby shower invites to share tomorrow. I used Beate's sketch for them and then I sort of used that for this card too. My card is 5 x 7.....I just couldn't fit it on a regular sized card. Hope you like it as well as I do. I actually am going to just make card fronts. I figure that everyone sends out photo cards so this will be just perfect.

A little update on my son too. Ethan had his MIBG treatment on Thursday in Philadelphia and we got to come home on Saturday. We didn't get back until 2:00 am, but we are very glad to be home. We won't know anything really until 6 weeks from now when he has scans. He's doing great though. His appetite is huge and his energy level is high. We are enjoying every single minute of each day. The saying, "Home Sweet Home" is sooo true! There is no place like Home!

Thanks for stopping by. Check out my cool pumpkins below.....(the kids too). I found these in a Country Living magazine and tried them out. I put polka Dots on one and the other I sprayed gold and put our initial on it......they are really fun to make! The kids are showing their creations too! They had so much fun painting yesterday!

Thanks Mom!!!

Lauren's Saturday Sketch (just a little early)!

I talked my Mom into helping me out since we are still out in Philly. This is the creation that she came up with for Lauren's sketch. I had time now to post so I thought I would.....tomorrow might get a little hectic. We might actually get to come home tomorrow. That would be wonderful. Ethan is doing rather well. I've said this a million times, but he doesn't look or act sick, in fact he looks great. They have him on a sedation med to keep him pretty mellow since he can't get out of bed. We'll find out in the morning if we get to fly out sometime tomorrow evening, wouldn't that be wonderful!

My Mom made this card using a new Stampin' Up set. It will be available starting on October 1st. This is called Winter Post. The snowflake punch is from Martha Stewart, she picked that up at Wal-Mart and the Merry Christmas sentiment is from a hostess set called Punches Three. She used the small oval and scallop sqaure punch from SU and layered them. Circle nestibilities were used for the main image. I don't actually have the card, so some of my guesses might be wrong, but I think I'm pretty close. The colors she used are kraft from PTI, Riding Hood Red and Very Vanilla from SU. I couldn't tell you what she did at the top. Your guess is as good as mine.....she has an endless supply of ribbon, so who knows. It looks like felt with stiching. I really like how this turned out. I wrote Lauren on e-mail and said that I probably wouldn't have anything, so she'll be surprised to see a post from me tomorrow.

Hope all of you have a wonderful weekend. We are just hoping to come home and praying that this treatment worked on our son. It's very overwhelming being at a new hospital in a new city and not knowing anyone. Hopefully I'll be back to post early next week with some new creations, I'm more than ready to stamp something and I am very excited to try out something new on our pumpkins at home. I saw these pumpkins painted in a magazine that I was reading and they look so cool.....that will have to be our arts and craft project next week!

Thanks for checking in and be sure to check out the other gals doing this sketch too.

Missing my Baby!

We are in Philly and today is the day of Ethan's MIBG infusion. Just thought I would post a couple of my favorite pics from the past few days. Look at my little chicky in her new pink shoes! She loves to play dress up. Ethan was tired of smiling for pics yesterday at the Philadelphia Zoo so I thought I would just play along with him. He's laughing at me! No card making for me this week. I won't be home until Monday at the earliest! I did bring along my daughter's felt stocking to work on, so that should keep me busy. I made a cowboy one for Ethan last year that I'll have to take a picture of to post sometime.
I've had little to no sleep last night. I stayed by myself at the Ronald McDonald House. The house is wonderful, but it is a strange place and I never sleep very good away from home anyway. I'll check back in this weekend and post a few new pics.....I never run out of pictures of my kiddos! I really miss my little girl so looking at pictures of her helps. Hope all of you have a great weekend!

While Dav'es away......I go to Hobby Lobby!

Dave and the oldest two went to the cold Homecoming football game.  So Em and I decided to eat supper with my parents and make a trip to Hob...
